STEP 1 | PREHEAT

Preheat the oven at 160°C. Butter a loaf cake pan.

STEP 2 | PREPARE THE MIXTURE

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Then in another large bowl, whisk together eggs and 1 cup of the sugar. Furthermore, whisk in olive oil, milk, brandy, essence, orange zest, and 1/4 cup of the orange juice. Also, add the dry ingredients in the wet bowl and whisk to combine.

STEP 3 | FINALIZE THE MIXTURE

Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 1 hour 6 minutes. Check with a toothpick. Bake until the toothpick inserted in the cake comes out dry. Let it cool then flip over onto a plate.

STEP 4 | SERVE

In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup orange juice. Turn the cake right side up. Use a brush and glaze over the cake. Serve after 10 minutes.
