STEP 1 | HEAT THE OVEN

Heat oven at 175°C. Line baking tray with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

STEP 2 | PREPARE THE MIXTURE

Furthermore, using a mixer on medium speed, beat together butter and sugars. Also, add egg, food colouring and vanilla. Mix the ingredients well. Reduce mixer speed to low and add the flour mixture. Mix until the ingredients are well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

STEP 3 | FINALIZE THE MIXTURE

Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared paper, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake cookies until sides are slightly darker.

STEP 4 | SERVE

Cool them for 10 minutes before serving.
